The Apartment and New Balance have officially reunited to present the The Apartment x New Balance 2010 GORE-TEX “Kingfisher”, marking their first collaborative release in roughly two years. First reported by Mason Tiniuc, the project equips the retro runner with an expressive palette inspired by the kingfisher bird, linking the shared natural landscapes of Japan and New York.

The shoe features a layered upper composed of rich blue suede overlays set against a vibrant teal base, broken up by contrasting white panels throughout the profile. Engineered for inclement weather, the silhouette integrates an inner GORE-TEX lining to seal out moisture, delivering seasonal protection while departing from traditional muted winter tones.

Underfoot, the palette extends into the technical tooling. Dark navy ABZORB cushioning pods are embedded across the sole unit to provide impact absorption, while a bright orange midfoot shank adds torsional support and a sharp burst of color.
