Supreme has signed an official licensing deal with New York City running through 2028 with an option to extend through 2030

The partnership permits the brand to legally use city trademarks including FDNY NYPD and Made in NY on merchandise

Supreme will pay $22000 USD upfront along with a six percent royalty on net profits from licensed products

Streetwear mainstay Supreme has officially struck a landmark multi-year licensing deal with New York City, granting the label authorized rights to design and release merchandise incorporating historic municipal trademarks. The recent preview of the upcoming Fall/Winter 2026 collection shows that a formal agreement permits the brand to feature authentic city insignias across upcoming apparel and accessory offerings, explicitly covering iconic marks such as “Made in NY,” the “FDNY,” the “NYPD,” and additional city departments.

Under the legal terms of the licensing deal, the partnership is reportedly set to run through 2028, with a mutual option built into the contract to extend the collaboration through 2030. Financial terms reveal that Supreme will pay New York City an upfront fee of $22,000 USD to secure the licensing rights, alongside a recurring royalty commitment of 6% of net profits generated from all merchandise featuring the licensed municipal logos.

The city-sanctioned alliance directly builds on Supreme’s deep-rooted New York heritage and its long-standing affinity for civil service aesthetics. Over past seasons, the brand has regularly paid homage to the city’s civic infrastructure by releasing dedicated municipal items, including embroidered FDNY caps and officially branded Department of Sanitation hoodies. By establishing a direct licensing framework with city officials, Supreme solidifies its homage to local institutions while creating a direct revenue stream for the municipality itself through future collaborative releases.
