S.T. Dupont and WACKO MARIA’s Ligne2 Small Lighter Is Limited to 25 Pieces
The Paris-founded lighter house and Tokyo’s WACKO MARIA deliver a gold and silver collab drop.
by Sophie Caraan · HypebeastS.T. Dupont and WACKO MARIA have released a collaborative version of the Ligne2 Small lighter, limited to 25 units across gold and silver colorways. The piece is made in France from brass and drops on June 27 via the WACKO MARIA Online Store and physical retail confined to four WACKO MARIA flagship locations.
The Ligne2 is S.T. Dupont’s most recognised lighter form, a pocket-sized brass object the Paris-founded house has produced since 1952 and whose distinctive double-click sound at ignition has become one of the more identifiable signatures in luxury accessories. The Small format brings a more compact proportion to the silhouette while retaining the construction fundamentals: brass body, Made in France production, and the material density that positions the object apart from utility lighters in both weight and finish. The gold and silver colorway split gives the edition two distinct surface treatments within the same form, with neither designated as a primary or secondary variant in the source material.
The edition size of 25 units total across both colorways makes this among the more tightly controlled drops in recent WACKO MARIA collab history. WACKO MARIA’s collaborative output has consistently moved between Tokyo subculture, American vintage references, and European craft objects, and the S.T. Dupont partnership fits the latter category precisely: a French heritage house whose product sits at the intersection of daily utility and considered luxury, translated through a Tokyo lens.
The S.T. Dupont x WACKO MARIA Ligne2 Small drops June 27 online and at four WACKO MARIA flagship stores.
