Nike and Tokyo boutique atmos have revealed the Nike Air Force 1 ‘01 “Harajuku”, marking a celebratory custom project for atmoscon. First shared by creative director Hirofumi Kojima, the limited pair arrives ten years after the retailer debuted a 50-pair pack at its inaugural 2016 convention.
Constructed atop the reintroduced ‘01 silhouette—a vintage shape previously tapped for recent collaborative projects with Nigo and Steven Victor—the shoe is covered in intricate laser-etched cartography tracing the streets of Tokyo’s Harajuku neighborhood. The etched map wraps across the white leather toe and heel overlays while leaving broad sections of clean leather exposed. The Swooshes, eyelets, lacing, and sole unit retain an undisturbed “Triple White” aesthetic.
The design directly references the brand’s origins, shifting from the 2016 atmoscon edition that featured “TYO” and “NYC” block lettering nodding to the retailer’s former bicoastal footprint. For this installment, atmos opts for topological etching to ground the shoe squarely in its home neighborhood.
The Nike Air Force 1 ‘01 “Harajuku” will be featured at the Nike booth during atmoscon in Tokyo this weekend with opportunities to win a pair, while a wider public release date remains unannounced.
