Leading financial reformer Percy Allan dies aged 78

Percy Allan, a long-time head of the NSW Treasury, senior corporate figure and economic and government policy gadfly, died on Tuesday night after a battle with lymphoma. He was 78.
Allan worked under some of the most prominent political figures in NSW’s post-war political history, including long-serving Labor premiers Neville Wran and Bob Carr. He reached the zenith of his influence under reforming NSW Liberal premier Nick Greiner.
