Toyota Fortuner now costs up to Rs 50.46 lakh after fresh price hike

Toyota has increased prices of the Fortuner lineup by up to Rs 87,000, with the GR-S and Legender variants receiving the steepest hikes in the SUV's third price revision of 2026.

Toyota Kirloskar Motor has revised prices of the Fortuner lineup. The latest revision sees prices go up by as much as Rs 87,000, with the hike affecting the standard Fortuner, Legender, and the range-topping GR-S variants. Following the update, Fortuner prices now start at Rs 34.76 lakh and extend up to Rs 50.46 lakh (ex-showroom).

The biggest increase has been applied to the Fortuner GR-S 4X4 automatic, which is now dearer by Rs 87,000. Meanwhile, the Legender range has also witnessed significant revisions, with prices rising by up to Rs 83,000 depending on the variant.

Among the standard Fortuner variants, the petrol automatic 4X2 and diesel manual 4X2 receive the smallest hike of Rs 60,000. The diesel automatic 4X2 is now costlier by Rs 65,000, while the diesel manual 4X4 sees a jump of Rs 67,000. Toyota’s newer 48V mild-hybrid diesel automatic 4X4 variant has become pricier by Rs 75,000.

The Legender lineup has also become more expensive. The diesel automatic 4X2 variant gets a price increase of Rs 75,000, while the manual 4X4 version is up by Rs 78,000. The Legender mild-hybrid automatic 4X4 commands the highest hike in the range at Rs 83,000.

Toyota continues to offer the Fortuner with two engine options. The 2.7-litre petrol engine produces 166bhp and is paired with an automatic gearbox. The more popular 2.8-litre diesel motor develops 204bhp and is available with both manual and automatic transmissions. Toyota has also introduced a 48V mild-hybrid system on select diesel variants, while four-wheel-drive remains exclusive to diesel-powered models.

Despite repeated price revisions this year, the Fortuner continues to dominate the full-size SUV segment in India, competing against rivals such as the MG Majestor, Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq and Volkswagen Tayron R-Line.
