Suzuki Motorcycle India starts FY27 with 4% growth, April sales reach 1.17 lakh units
Suzuki Motorcycle India began FY2026-27 with steady growth in April, driven by improved domestic demand, stronger exports, new product initiatives, and customer engagement activities as the company celebrated 20 years in India.
by Saumya Shubham Jha · India TodaySuzuki Motorcycle India has begun FY2026-27 on a steady note, reporting total sales of 1,17,514 units in April 2026, registering a 4 per cent year-on-year growth compared to 1,12,948 units sold in April 2025.
The company’s domestic sales stood at 98,004 units during the month, up 3 per cent from 95,214 units recorded in the corresponding period last year. Exports witnessed stronger momentum, rising 10 per cent to 19,510 units in April 2026 against 17,734 units in April 2025.
Commenting on the performance, Deepak Mutreja said the company has entered the new financial year on a stable footing with growth across both domestic and international markets.
"We have started the new financial year on a steady note with growth across both domestic and exports markets. This performance reflects the continued trust customers place in our products. As we move ahead, we remain focussed on delivering quality products, while deepening our connect with customers and partners across markets. We are also enhancing customer experience through focused events and brand activations," he said.
During the month, the company also marked two decades of manufacturing operations in India, celebrating 20 years since the commencement of production in the country. As part of its product and customer engagement initiatives, Suzuki Motorcycle India launched the new Suzuki Burgman Street and introduced a new Pearl Glacier White and Metallic Oort Gray colour option for the Suzuki Avenis Special Edition.
The company further organised its flagship motorcycling festival, Suzuki Matsuri, in Mumbai, bringing together Suzuki customers and riding enthusiasts. Suzuki also achieved recognition from the India Book of Records and Asia Book of Records for the largest gathering of a single scooter model at one location and the maximum deliveries of a single scooter model in a single day with Burgman scooters.
Additionally, the company conducted the V-Strom Experience Day in Kolkata, aimed at offering riders a curated adventure touring and engagement experience.
