A 30-year-old Romanian tourist died under suspicious circumstances while visiting Rajasthan's Mandawa, after she complained of breathing difficulties on Saturday morning. The woman, identified as Karina Iacap, was rushed to a hospital by her friends but was declared dead by doctors.

The tourist had arrived in India on November 4 as part of a 30-member foreign tourist group. The group had stayed at Vivana Hotel in Rajasthan's Churi Ajitgarh on Friday night.

According to police, Karina informed her friends around 9 am on Saturday that she was feeling unwell and having difficulty breathing. Her friends alerted the hotel staff and rushed her to a hospital in Mukundgarh.

After an initial examination, doctors referred her to a government hospital in Nawalgarh. However, she was declared dead on arrival. She was reportedly unconscious by the time she was brought to the hospital.

A heart attack is suspected to be the cause of death, but the exact reason is yet to be established. Hospital authorities said the circumstances surrounding her death would be ascertained after medical examination and further investigation.
