YouTuber Anurag Dobhal, widely known as UK07 Rider, says he is ready to turn the page. In a vlog shared on Saturday, Anurag apologised for his actions, reflected on his recovery after a serious car crash, and said he and his wife, Ritika Chauhan, now want to rebuild their lives after months of personal turmoil.
The vlog also marked the couple’s return to content creation after a long break. They said their focus now is on starting afresh for their son, while making it clear they do not plan to reconcile with Anurag’s family.
‘We want to start again’
In their latest vlog, Anurag and Ritika said they had stayed away from long-form content due to ongoing personal struggles.
“It has been almost 7–8 months since we posted a vlog. We were dealing with a lot behind the scenes,” Anurag said, adding that they often filmed short videos to maintain a sense of normalcy online.
Ritika said they chose not to share details earlier as they wanted to “make a positive impact” rather than bring negativity to their platform. Anurag said they had tried to prioritise family for years. “We sacrificed a lot for the family till the end, but I don’t know what went wrong,” he said.
Anurag on the crash
Recalling the March 7 accident, Anurag admitted he had made mistakes. He said he had focused entirely on his family, often at the cost of his own stability.
“I feel I was wrong in many places. The life I promised Ritika, I couldn’t give her. Today, I don’t have a house, family, or stability,” he said, adding that the incident forced him to reflect and step away from a difficult situation.
He apologised to Ritika and his followers for going off the grid, saying he was “very hurt” during that period.
Ritika, meanwhile, said both of them were dealing with challenges in different ways. “We both wanted the same thing but chose different paths. Now that we are together, we will rebuild our life,” she said.
No reconciliation with family
The couple also said they have decided not to reconcile with Anurag’s family.
Anurag said starting over would be difficult, especially after building his career from scratch. However, he added that he no longer expects support from those he once relied on.
Ritika recalled reaching out to people connected to Anurag when he was hospitalised, but said no one came to visit. “He was in the ICU and about to undergo surgery. Nobody came,” she said.
Closing the conversation, Anurag said he does not harbour hatred towards his family but has chosen to move on. “We won’t go back to reconcile. We cannot risk our lives over this any more. We have a child to look after. This chapter is closed,” he said.
What is the controversy?
In February, Anurag posted a two-hour video on his previous YouTube channel, saying he had cut ties with his family. He accused them of mental harassment and claimed the situation had pushed him towards taking extreme steps. He also shared voice notes alleging that both he and Ritika had been mistreated, and said his elder brother played a role in deepening the rift.
Around the same time, Anurag met with a serious accident on the Delhi-Dehradun highway while on Instagram Live. He survived but sustained severe injuries, underwent multiple surgeries and continues to recover.
On Ram Navami, the couple welcomed a baby boy. Anurag later said becoming a father changed his perspective on life.
