Actor Anil Kapoor is ecstatic as his series The Night Manager received a nomination for the 2024 International Emmy Awards. The prestigious ceremony is set to take place in New York City on November 25.

Aditya Roy Kapur, Anil Kapoor, and Sobhita Dhulipala’s popular series, The Night Manager, has received a nomination for Best Drama Series at the 2024 International Emmy Awards. As fans celebrate the good news, Anil is thrilled that the series has bagged a nomination.

Announced on September 19, the series will compete against Les Gouttes de Dieu(Drops of God) from France, The Newsreader Season 2 from Australia, and Iosi, El Espia ArrepentidoSeason 2 from Argentina. The prestigious ceremony is scheduled to take place in New York City on November 25.

In an interview with NDTV, Anil Kapoor, who plays Shelly, an arms dealer in The Night Manager, shared his reaction to the show’s nomination and said, “I just couldn’t believe it. I called Sandeep (Sandeep Modi, the director) and the entire team. We were messaging each other.”

An elated Sandeep shared a story on Instagram where he expressed his gratitude to the entire team. “In tears of disbelief and joy. Thank you, team. Thank you, God (sic),” his post read.

The Night Manager is the Indian version of the British series of the same name. The Indian version of the series has been created by Sandeep Modi. Season two of The Night Manager is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The series also features Tillotama Shome, Ravi Behl, and Saswata Chatterjee in supporting roles.

The description of the series on the streamer reads, "A dreaded arms dealer, a night manager, and a dangerous game of love and betrayal - it's showtime!"
