The report also points to a growing shift towards digital celebrity endorsements. According to Kroll, digital platforms are increasingly being used alongside traditional campaigns, allowing brands to reach wider audiences, personalise messaging and improve campaign effectiveness.
While digital endorsements accounted for around 40-60 per cent of celebrity portfolios in earlier years, their share has increased considerably. For several leading celebrities, digital endorsements made up around 60-75 per cent of their total brand associations by 2025.
Despite the overall decline in the combined value of the top 25 celebrity brands, the rankings underline the continued commercial influence of Bollywood stars and Indian sporting icons, with Shah Rukh Khan leading the pack.
