Bajaj Auto has introduced a revised version of its flagship naked motorcycle, the Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z, now powered by a 349cc engine. The update brings the motorcycle under India’s lower 18 per cent GST bracket, translating into a reduction in costs.

Priced at Rs 1,80,092 (ex-showroom, Delhi), the company says that the updated NS400Z delivers savings of up to Rs 24,500 for customers. This reduction stems not just from a lower ex-showroom price, but also from decreased insurance premiums and registration charges, making the flagship Pulsar more accessible to a wider audience.

The new 349cc unit produces 40.6bhp at 9,000rpm and 33.2Nm of peak torque at 7,500rpm, ensuring the NS400Z continues to deliver an engaging riding experience. Bajaj claims a power-to-weight ratio of 247PS per tonne, reinforcing its sporty credentials within the segment.

The NS400Z retains its position as one of the most feature-rich motorcycles in its class. It comes equipped with four ride modes, a quickshifter, traction control, dual-channel ABS, radial tyres, and a Bluetooth-enabled digital console. The motorcycle continues to be built around the brand’s established NS platform, known for its aggressive styling, sharp handling, and everyday usability.

Commenting on the update, Sarang Kanade, President – Motorcycles Business Unit at Bajaj Auto, highlighted that the change reflects the brand’s focus on expanding access to performance-oriented products while maintaining the essence of the Pulsar NS lineup.
