Porsche India names Ashutosh Dixit as Brand Director

Porsche India has appointed Ashutosh Dixit as Brand Director, marking a leadership change aimed at strengthening its premium strategy and accelerating growth in the expanding Indian luxury automotive market.

Porsche India has announced a key leadership change with the appointment of Ashutosh Dixit as Brand Director, effective immediately. The move comes as part of Skoda Auto Volkswagen India Private Limited’s (SAVWIPL) ongoing efforts to strengthen its premium portfolio and deepen its presence in the Indian luxury automotive space.

Dixit steps into the role at a time when India continues to emerge as an important growth market for the brand. With nearly three decades of experience in the automotive sector, including close to 20 years within the Volkswagen Group, he brings extensive expertise across strategy, sales operations, and brand development. His international exposure spans India, China, and Europe, alongside a recent stint as Market Development Director at the Porsche Middle East and Africa regional office, where he was closely involved in shaping initiatives for the Indian market.

He takes over from Manolito Vujicic, who has stepped down to pursue opportunities outside the group. The company acknowledged Vujicic’s contributions, noting his role in strengthening the brand’s foundation in India during his tenure.

Welcoming the appointment, Dr Manfred Bräunl, Chief Executive Officer, Porsche Middle East and Africa, said Dixit’s deep understanding of both the brand and the Indian market positions him strongly to lead the next phase of growth. He highlighted India’s strategic importance in Porsche’s global roadmap and expressed confidence in continued momentum under the new leadership.

Jan Bures, Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Digital at SAVWIPL, also emphasized that Dixit’s cross-market experience and leadership capabilities make him well-suited to drive the brand forward in India’s evolving luxury car landscape.

With this leadership transition, SAVWIPL reiterated its long-term commitment to the Indian market, focusing on sustainable growth, customer-centric innovation, and expanding its premium product offering.
