Best companies to work for in Asia 2026: Hilton leads. India has 34 firms in top 100

Great Place To Work has released its Best Workplaces in Asia 2026 list, based on employee feedback covering trust, leadership, innovation, company values and overall workplace experience. The study drew more than 3.8 million individual responses, representing the experiences of nearly 8.9 million employees across Asia and the Middle East.

The top 10 large organisations on the 2026 list are Hilton, Marriott International, Cisco, AbbVie, DHL, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Micron Technology, TP, Accenture, and Capella.

The ranking covers companies in the large category, which Great Place To Work defines as organisations with 500 or more employees. Companies in the small and medium category have between 50 and 499 employees.

WHAT MAKES THESE COMPANIES GREAT PLACES TO WORK?

The ranking is based on employees' experiences rather than simply company size, revenue or brand recognition.

Employees were asked about areas including trust, innovation, company values and leadership. Great Place To Work said the highest-ranked organisations have a larger share of employees reporting consistently positive experiences, regardless of job title, work status or other demographic factors.

Across the recognised workplaces, 93% of employees said they considered their organisation a great workplace, while the overall Trust Index Grand Mean stood at 91%.

Employee sentiment was particularly strong on workplace safety, feeling welcomed, being treated fairly and feeling proud to belong. At least 95% of employees reported positive sentiment on these measures, according to the report.

Interestingly, smaller organisations performed better than large companies on the overall workplace experience measures.

Companies in the small and medium category recorded an overriding workplace experience sentiment score of 96%, compared with 91% for large organisations.

Their Trust Index score was also higher, at 93% compared with 89% for large companies.

Employee development has also emerged as a key theme in the 2026 rankings.

Positive perceptions of training and development among employees of Asia's Best Workplaces increased from 88% to 90% this year.

Manufacturing & Production and Social Services & Government Agencies recorded the highest scores in this area at 93%, followed by Biotechnology, Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare at 90%.

Social Services & Government Agencies also emerged as the top-performing industry overall, recording a 97% positive workplace experience sentiment score.

INDIA HAS 34 COMPANIES IN THE TOP 100

India has a significant presence in the Asia rankings.

Of the 100 organisations recognised in the large-company category, 34 operate in India. Another six Indian organisations feature in the small and medium category.

The Indian names include major companies across sectors such as technology, banking, financial services, healthcare, retail and manufacturing.

Among the 34 large organisations with operations in India are Flipkart Group, Infosys, HDFC Life Insurance, AU Small Finance Bank, Reliance Retail, Bajaj Finance, Max Healthcare, Aye Finance, Ujjivan Small Finance Bank, Zensar Technologies, Experian, Edelweiss Life and HP Inc.

Great Place To Work India CEO Balbir Singh said one-third of all recognised organisations in the large category have a presence in India, with the majority coming from the BFSI and IT sectors.

The six Indian organisations recognised in the small and medium category are NIA Institutions, VAHDAM India, Chalet Hotels, Serentica Renewables India, Kimbal and LMS (Lord Mahavira Services India).

To qualify for the Asia ranking, companies must first have been recognised as outstanding workplaces in their local region, appearing on one or more of Great Place To Work's Best Workplaces lists across participating Asian and Middle Eastern markets during 2025 or early 2026.

The 2026 list therefore combines employee feedback across a wide range of markets, from developing economies to more mature Asian economies.

Great Place To Work said companies on the list have higher numbers of employees reporting positive workplace experiences than the typical workplace in Asia, and linked better employee experience with stronger business performance.
