Ajay Devgn is back as Vijay Salgaonkar, with Drishyam 3: The Conclusion which released in the theatres on October 2. And if the return of the Drishyam star has you curious about the actor beyond his on-screen life, there is a property that can give you a sneak peek into the actor’s life. It is his and Kajol’s Goa holiday home, Villa Eterna.
The five-bedroom villa in North Goa is not exactly a private hideaway anymore. The property, which is managed by Ama Stays & Trails, can be booked by guests. And depending on the dates, spending a night here can cost upwards of Rs 80,000.
When we checked on MakeMyTrip, a one-night stay at Villa Eterna was listed at approximately Rs 82,600, including taxes and fees. The price can vary depending on the dates, occupancy and booking plan.
So, what exactly do you get for that price?
Inside Ajay Devgn and Kajol’s Goa villa
Villa Eterna is located in Moira, North Goa, away from the more crowded beach-party stretch of the state. The property is a five-bedroom villa with five bathrooms and is listed as an entire villa rather than individual hotel rooms. MakeMyTrip lists five king beds and a capacity of 10 guests, while other booking websites give a larger maximum occupancy depending on the arrangement.
The villa combines Portuguese-inspired architecture with contemporary interiors. There is a private swimming pool, landscaped garden, outdoor seating, a gazebo and plenty of open space around the house. The property also has a century-old restored well, a feature that has become one of its more distinctive details.
Inside, the house has large windows, wooden furniture, soft-toned interiors and individually styled bedrooms. The decor also has a distinctly personal touch, with paintings, photographs, artwork and other pieces reportedly handpicked by Devgn and Kajol.
There is a large dining area, a private kitchen and an in-house chef. Guests can also access amenities including a games room, indoor games, private parking and Wi-Fi.
What makes Villa Eterna different from a regular Goa stay?
The obvious answer is the Bollywood connection.
This isn't a hotel room that happens to carry a celebrity name. Villa Eterna was originally the Devgn family’s holiday home, and its interiors have retained elements of that personal connection. Previous reports suggested that photographs and film-related memorabilia inside the property, along with furniture, crockery and artwork have been selected by the couple.
The house is also designed more like a private holiday home than a conventional resort. The pool sits prominently at the centre of the property, while the garden and outdoor spaces make up a large part of the experience.
So, if you and your friends are a Bollywood paglu, this Goa home is calling.
