Tamil Nadu YouTuber flaunts gold and cash online, burglars steal valuables from home

Burglars broke into YouTuber Vinoth Kumar's house near Nagercoil and stole 118 sovereigns of gold and cash. Police are examining CCTV footage and the couple's social media posts as they investigate the break-in.

A YouTuber from Kanyakumari known for flaunting gold jewellery and bundles of cash on social media was robbed after burglars broke into his house near Nagercoil and fled with 118 sovereigns (944 gms) of gold and cash.

The burglary took place at VIP Garden in Thammathukonam, where YouTuber Vinoth Kumar lives with his wife, Madhumitha. Unidentified people broke open the rear door of the house during the night, entered the premises and stole the valuables before fleeing.

The theft came to light after which Rajakkamangalam Police reached the spot and began investigating the incident.

Police are now examining CCTV footage from the house and nearby areas to trace the suspects and piece together their movements before and after the burglary.

Investigators are also trying to determine how the burglars entered the locality and whether their movements were captured on surveillance cameras.

The YouTuber couple's social media activity is also being examined as part of the investigation. Their videos have featured large quantities of gold jewellery and bundles of cash, and police are looking into whether such posts may have inadvertently revealed information about the valuables kept at their home.

For now, investigators are working to identify the burglars and establish exactly how the break-in was carried out.
