Finance, banking and investments formed another important recruitment segment. A total of 74 offers came from 33 organisations, including Goldman Sachs, Deutsche Bank, Ajman Bank, Motilal Oswal and PwC India.

Beyond consulting and finance, product management and technology roles also attracted student interest. The recruitment season saw participation from established global companies, major Indian business groups and leading consumer brands.

TECHNOLOGY HIRING DOUBLES. WHO WERE THE RECRUITERS?

Technology recruitment also witnessed a notable increase, with hiring reportedly doubling compared with the previous year. Global technology companies, including Microsoft and Google, featured among the recruiters, reflecting continued demand for management graduates in technology-focused roles.

Legacy recruiters, including global fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies and prominent Indian conglomerates, also maintained their presence during the placement process.

Commenting on the outcome, Nishant Kumar Verma, Chairperson of Career Development Services (CDS) at IIM Bangalore, said the results reflected students' aptitude, recruiters' continued confidence in the institute and the strong coordination demonstrated by the placement committee.

WHAT DOES THE PLACEMENT SEASON INDICATE?

The latest summer placement figures underline the continued demand for IIM Bangalore graduates across consulting, finance, technology and product management. With all participating students securing offers and the median monthly stipend reaching Rs 2 lakh, the institute has reported a strong outcome for its 2026–28 cohorts.

The growing presence of technology recruiters also points to expanding opportunities for management students beyond traditional consulting and finance roles.
