iPhone 17 gets big price cut on Flipkart, buy it for under Rs 60,000: Here's how

Eyeing the iPhone 17 but finding its Rs 99,900 price tag a little too steep? What if we told you that you could get it for under Rs 60,000? Yes, you can, but only if you have the right credit card and an eligible device to exchange. Apple’s iPhone 17 is now available on Flipkart at an effective price of under Rs 60,000. But this price comes with a combination of an upfront price cut, bank card discounts and exchange benefits on the 256GB variant.

So if you want the biggest discount, you need an eligible credit card and an old iPhone to trade in. Let's take a quick look at how the deal works.

iPhone 17 price on Flipkart: How to get it under Rs 60,000

Apple recently increased the price of the iPhone 17 in India, with the White (256GB) variant now retailing at Rs 99,900. However, Flipkart is offering an upfront discount of around 3 per cent, bringing the selling price down to Rs 97,300.

You can bring the effective price down to Rs 59,034 by combining the available bank discounts with an exchange offer.

First, let's look at the bank offers. ICICI Bank and HDFC Bank credit card holders can get an instant discount of Rs 7,016. SBI credit card users can save Rs 7,000, while Flipkart Axis Bank credit card holders can get a Rs 7,000 benefit, including cashback.

Now, coming to the exchange offer. A significant chunk of the savings comes from trading in an old iPhone. Flipkart is offering an exchange value of Rs 31,250 for an iPhone 15. This amount is deducted from the purchase price, although the final exchange value may vary depending on the phone's condition and eligibility checks.

Combining the iPhone 15 exchange value with an eligible ICICI or HDFC credit card discount can bring the effective price down to Rs 59,034. However, do note that this is the maximum-benefit scenario and not a flat selling price available to everyone.

For those who prefer paying in instalments, Flipkart is also listing a three-month EMI option at Rs 20,852 per month. This takes the total EMI payout to Rs 62,556.

Apple iPhone 17: What does it offer?

Now, coming to what Apple's standard flagship smartphone has to offer. The iPhone 17 features a 6.3-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display with a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, Always-On functionality and peak outdoor brightness of up to 3,000 nits.

The phone runs on Apple's A19 chipset, built on a 3nm process, and supports Apple Intelligence features. For photography, it gets a dual rear camera setup with a 48-megapixel Fusion main sensor and a 48-megapixel ultra-wide camera. On the front, there is an 18-megapixel Centre Stage camera that supports automatic framing and Dual Capture.

The iPhone 17 also features an aluminium design, Ceramic Shield 2 protection and an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance. Apple claims up to 30 hours of video playback on a single charge.
