by Auto Today · India TodaySuzuki Motorcycle India, the Indian two-wheeler arm of Suzuki Motor Corporation, has strengthened its national presence with the inauguration of its first dealership in the Union Territory of Ladakh. The new outlet, Mentokling Suzuki, marks the company’s entry into one of the country’s most challenging and strategically significant motorcycling regions.
With this launch, SMIPL has achieved a key milestone, establishing its retail footprint across all states and union territories in India. The company’s network now spans 1,242 outlets nationwide, underlining its aggressive expansion strategy and focus on last-mile connectivity.
The dealership, located in Choglamsar near Leh, was inaugurated by Deepak Mutreja, Vice-President, Sales & Marketing at SMIPL, along with senior company officials and representatives from Mentokling Suzuki.
The outlet showcases the brand’s full range of two-wheelers, including scooters such as Access, Avenis, the Burgman Street, and the recently introduced electric scooter e-Access. The motorcycle portfolio on display includes the Gixxer series, Gixxer 250 range, and the adventure-focused V-Strom SX.
Speaking at the inauguration, Mutreja highlighted Ladakh’s importance in India’s motorcycling ecosystem, noting its popularity among riders and the demanding terrain that requires high levels of reliability and performance. He added that the new dealership will improve accessibility to Suzuki products while ensuring dependable after-sales support for customers and touring riders in the region.
Beyond retail, the facility houses a fully equipped service workshop staffed by trained technicians, offering maintenance support and spare parts. The service centre is also expected to benefit long-distance riders, particularly V-Strom owners travelling through Ladakh, by providing authorised service backup in the remote region.
Additionally, the dealership offers Suzuki’s range of genuine accessories, riding gear, and merchandise, positioning itself as a one-stop destination for customers and enthusiasts alike.
