Odisha SLSWCA Clears 19 Industrial Projects Worth ₹3,280 Crore to Generate Over 10,600 Jobs

Bhubaneswar: Nineteen industrial investment plans representing Rs 3,280 crore secured regulatory clearance in Odisha on Tuesday, setting in motion commercial projects expected to add 10,661 jobs across the state.

The approvals emerged from a meeting of the State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA), chaired by Chief Secretary Anu Garg. The sanctioned plants and commercial sites are distributed across Baleshwar, Balangir, Baragada, Ganjam, Kalahandi, Kendujhar, Mayurbhanj, Subarnapur, Kataka, Jagatsinghpur, Anugola, Khordha, Puri, Jharsuguda, Koraput, Debagada, and Sundaragada.

Clean energy initiatives and synthetic materials lead the financial commitments. Indian Oil Corporation Limited received approval to deploy Rs 960 crore toward 39,600 TPA compressed biogas capacity spanning eight interior and coastal districts. In Ganjam, Kineta Global Limited is setting up a separate compressed biogas plant capitalized at Rs 170 crore. Alongside them in Khordha, Shri Dakshineshwari Maa Polyfabs Limited will spend Rs 401.63 crore to manufacture polypropylene woven and non-woven fabrics and bags.

Employment generation is concentrated within apparel manufacturing and the hospitality sector. Sai Workwear Private Limited accounts for the largest projected payroll addition of any single applicant, creating 3,650 positions at a Rs 59 crore technical garments facility in Puri. Dollar Industries will also invest Rs 125 crore in Khordha to hire 1,185 employees. Meanwhile, five hospitality properties, two 5-star properties and three 4-star developments situated across Ganjam, Puri, Jharsuguda, and Koraput totaled Rs 767.04 crore in commitments.

Metal processing and consumer goods complete the heavy manufacturing roster. Downstream steel proposals by SPS Arihant Steel Structures, Steeledge Fabrication, and Bhubaneswar Udyog absorbed more than Rs 350 crore for structural fabrication, machining, and color-coated product lines across Debagada, Sundaragada, and Kataka. Packaged food and confectionery operations from Geofast Industries and Jai Bhawani Foods account for Rs 220 crore in Khordha and Kataka. Specialized sites round out the panel’s review: chemical works by Aquaproof Wallcare and Asipiya Chemicals and Solvent, an iron and steel slag processing facility by Ramuka Global in the circular economy sector, and a knowledge-services corporate capability hub by Tata Power.

Garg stated that the state is directing support toward enterprises that utilize indigenous resources, strengthen regional supply ecosystems, and produce sustainable payrolls. She added that administrative units will maintain coordinated clearance workflows to help firms break ground without procedural delays.
