Bhubaneswar: A suspected gang rivalry turned violent in Bhubaneswar’s Laxmisagar area, leaving a young man dead after a late-night shooting.
The deceased, identified as Sonu Nayak, was allegedly shot in the head during a clash between two rival groups over an old dispute linked to Ganesh Puja.
According to reports, the two groups had gathered in Laxmisagar on Friday night to settle their long-standing differences. However, an argument broke out instead of a resolution. It is alleged that Sonu Nayak and his associates later hurled bombs at the house of a rival identified as Kuna.
