Kamakshyanagar lightning strike: six-room house destroyed, valuables worth lakhs lost

Kamakshyanagar : A thunder lightning strike destroyed a house and vauables worth lakhs in Dhenkanal district of Odisha.

The incident has been reported in Kamakshyanagar’s Jamunakote village on Wednesday evening when there was heavy rain along with thunder and lightning.

As per reports, the house belonged to two brothers identified as Akhil Sahani and Uday Sahani which was struck by a thunder lightning.

Following which, the house caught massive fire which in turn completely destroyed their six-room house along with other belongings that included gold and silver ornaments, furniture etc. Losses have been pegged at many lakhs.

Firefighters of Kamakshyanagar were immediately called to the site and work was started to bring down the fire.

The brothers and their family did not suffer any injuries but suffered a loss worth many lakhs as the entire house was brought down in minutes.
