Mumbai: An unprecedented surge in consumer demand and replacement purchases across India helped lift Apple’s global revenue to USD 114.5 billion for the three months ended September 26, 2026, marking a 12 per cent year-over-year rise.

The numbers were outlined during the Cupertino-based tech giant’s fiscal 2026 fourth-quarter earnings conference call on Monday.

Global smartphone sales served as the primary growth engine. Despite persistent supply limitations and foreign exchange pressures, iPhone revenue jumped 17 per cent from a year earlier to USD 57.6 billion. Independent data from World Panel confirmed the device held its ground as a leading seller across major markets, spanning India, urban China, the United States, Japan, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Australia.

Chief Executive Officer John Ternus pointed out that hardware refresh cycles were exceptionally active. Upgrader volumes hit an all-time high for any September quarter globally, anchored by strong replacement activity in India, mainland China, and the U.S. This momentum also closed out Apple’s best fiscal year to date for upgraders worldwide.

Beyond India’s record-setting revenue, Ternus emphasized that business expanded across most tracked territories, delivering record September-quarter top lines across both emerging and mature economies—specifically in Europe, the Americas, Greater China, and the rest of the Asia-Pacific region.

Computing hardware also saw substantial gains. Chief Financial Officer Kevan Parekh noted that Mac revenues expanded 24 per cent year-over-year to reach USD 10.8 billion. The performance was led by strong demand for the MacBook Pro and MacBook Neo lineups, driving double-digit growth across advanced and developing markets alike and resulting in historic highs in Southeast Asia and India.

The company’s services arm similarly set a fresh milestone, generating USD 31.6 billion—a 10 per cent increase over the prior-year period even after accounting for currency headwinds. According to Parekh, services revenue broke historical records across most monitored territories, with emerging regions such as India and Latin America pacing the climb.

Alongside hardware and digital subscriptions, Apple has also broadened its consumer ecosystem in the South Asian nation. The company recently rolled out Apple Pay in partnership with Axis Bank, aligning its regional strategy with the country’s swift uptake of cashless and mobile payments.
