Puri: 5 Sacred Names related to Lord Jagannath Mahaprabhu to Get Trademark, check list

Puri: In a major achievement for the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration, five sacred names associated with Mahaprabhu Lord Jagannath will soon receive trademark recognition.

In a significant step toward protecting the sacred traditions, culture and heritage of the famous Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri of Odisha, five more trademark applications linked to Mahaprabhu have been approved for publication in the upcoming Trademark Journal.

After the completion of the second phase of scrutiny by the Trademark Registry, the five approved applications are: Jagannath Dham, Shrikshetra, Mahaprasad, Neelachakra and Koili Vaikuntha.

Once published, unauthorized and misuse for commercial purpose of these names will be prohibited.

At present, various business establishments and organizations use these sacred names of Mahaprabhu for their personal business and profit.

However, with trademark registration, the unauthorized use of all these holy names will be completely stopped. No private organization will be allowed to misuse them for commercial gain.

The Chief Administrator of Shree Mandira, Arabinda Padhee, said these approvals are another important step to safeguard the sacred names and traditions associated with Mahaprabhu Shree Jagannath, and to prevent their unauthorized use and commercial exploitation. He added that this will also help protect the cultural and spiritual rights of Shree Mandira.
