Angul: Odisha Vigilance Probes Fund Misappropriation at Angul District HQ Hospital. An Odisha Vigilance team has launched a probe at the Angul District Headquarters Hospital over alleged misappropriation of funds by junior clerk Subrat Behera.

As per reports, the team will conduct a two-day marathon interrogation of doctors, nurses, clerks and other staff. A total of 93 hospital personnel are to be questioned.

Today, 49 employees are being interrogated. Among the staff, 32 doctors, 24 staff nurses, 9 clerks, 8 ward attendants, 2 cooks, 2 drivers and a peon were victims of financial fraud due to alleged misappropriation of money by junior clerk Subrat Behera. Of these, 26 have already retired while 5 have died.

Subrat Behera was arrested by Vigilance in February over allegations of misappropriating Rs. 2.38 crore. The inquiry into the case is underway.
