New Delhi: A female Amazon worker has filed a lawsuit against the company, claiming that a senior manager sexually assaulted her during a work trip to New York in October 2023 and that the company did not investigate her claim appropriately.
As per reports, the victim reported the alleged assault to the police and to Amazon’s HR department. She claims Amazon told her to keep the issue quiet and to continue working with the executive.
She also criticized the company for not having two witnesses who should have been interviewed during the investigation into his alleged policy violation. The investigation found no evidence of a policy violation.

Her secondment was arranged to a different department to keep her away from the executive, a move that was supposedly going to harm her career.
Amazon said it takes these allegations “very seriously” and has a “zero tolerance” policy for workplace sexual misconduct. It declined to comment any further, citing the ongoing lawsuit.
