Puri Police issues traffic advisory for Bahuda Yatra and Sunabesha

Puri: Anticipating heavy rush of devotees and vehicles to Puri to attend the Bahuda Yatra and Sunabesha of Lord Jagannath and his siblings, the city police has issued a special traffic advisory to make the devotees’ visit hustle-free.

Two Wheelers

BRAHMAGIRI SIDE: Two wheeler coming from Brahmagiri side will be allowed upto Old Jagannath Ballav parking and Matitota Play Ground Parking via Mangalaghat. Their Return will be same. After filling up the above parking place Two wheeler coming from Brahmagiri side will be allowd to park at Matitota Helipad ground via Malagalaghat, Shreesetu. Their Return will via Shreesetu, Malagalaghat.
BHUBANESWAR SIDE: Two wheelers from BBSR will be allowed upto Old Jagannath Ballav parking and Matitota play ground via Malatipatapur Batagaon Mangalaghat. Vehicles parked at Old Jagannath Ballav Parking will return via Jatiababaji Chhaka – Kumbharapada PS -Atharanala -Batagaon.Vehicles parked at Matitota play ground will return via Matitota Play Ground Parking -Shreesetu service road- U turn at Mangalaghat- Batagaon -Malatipatpur. After filling up the above parking place Two wheeler coming from Bhubaneswar side will be allowed to park at Matitota Helipad ground via Malatipatapur -Batagaon- Shreesetu.Their return will be via Matitota Helipad ground- U turn at Mangalaghata- Batagaon- Malatipatapur.
KONARK SIDE: Two wheeler coming from Konark side will be allowed upto Blue Flag Beach and Nilachal Ashok via Grid station-Bhudan chowk- Talabania- CT Road-Subash bose chowk. Their Return will via Subash bose chowk- CT Road-Talabania-Bhudan chowk- Grid station.

If you’re travelling to Puri by four-wheeler during Bahuda Jatra and Sunabesa 2026, follow the designated traffic routes and parking arrangements for a seamless journey.

Four Wheelers:

BRAHMAGIRI SIDE: All LMV coming from Brahmagiri side will park at Samaga Parking via Girala Chakka- Mangalaghat Bridge. Return: Samanga Parking-Magalaghat Bridge – Girala -Brahmagiri.
BHUBANESWAR SIDE: LMV coming from the Bhubaneswar side will be allowed up to the designated parking areas on the Talabania side via Pipili Satyabadi Chandanpur -Malatipatapur – Malatipatapur ROB – Baidas Nagar – Grid Station. Vehicles will be parked sequentially at the following designated parking areas:- Bhudan Parking- OLA Guest House Parking- Helipad Parking- ITI College Parking- Near Central School Parking – Indoor Stadium Parking- Horticulture Field Parking-Hygienic Fish Market Parking. The return route will be via Central School -Bhudan Chhak – Balighat Chhak – Samangara Chhak Batagaon. After the above parking areas are filled, LMVs from the Bhubaneswar side will be allowed to the Shreesetu designated parking area, via Malatipatapur Batagaon – Shreesetu. After filled up Shreesetu parking, vehicles will be diverted to the designated parking areas at Sterling Chhak via Mangalaghat -Omkareshwar Temple – Sterling Chhak. The return route will remain the same. After all the above parking areas are filled, all LMVs will be diverted to Samanga Parking via Malatipatapur – Batagaon – Mangalaghat. The return route will be via near Shreesetu road.
KONARK SIDE: All LMV coming from Konark side will be allowed upto parking places at Talabania side, sequentially at the designated parking areas: Bhudan parking- OLA Guest House Parking Helipad Parking ITI College Parking- Near Central School parking- Indoor Stadium Parking- Horticulture Field Parking, Hygienic Fish Market Parking via Balighai – Baidas Nagar – Grid Station.(Return)- Talabania Bus stand -Central School Bhudan – Grid Station – Baidas Nagar- Balighai.

Likewise, the bus passengers and operators also have been asked to follow the official traffic routes and designated parking arrangements for regular and tourist buses.

Regular Buses:

BRAHMAGIRI SIDE: Regular Bus from Brahmagiri side will avail route Brahmagiri Girala Chaka-Mangalaghat Bridge – Samanga Parking. (Return)-. Samanga Parking-Mangalaghat Bridge- Girala- Brahmagiri.
BHUBANESWAR SIDE: Regular Bus from BBSR side will avail route-Satyabadi Chandanpur -Malatipatapur – Malatipatapur ROB- Baidas Nagar-Grid Station -Bhudan -Indoor Stadium chaka-Talabania Bus stand (Return)- Their return will be via Talabania Bus stand Central School Chaka-Bhudan Chaka-Grid Station-Baidas Nagar-Ramachandi Konark Gop-Nimapara Pipili overbridge. In case Talabania Parking places filled up the Buses will drop the passengers. near Bhudan Chaka and will be parked at Swami Narayan Temple. (Return)-Their return will be via Swami Narayan Temple -Bhudan Chaka-Grid Station-Baidas Nagar Ramachandi Konark.
KONARK SIDE: Chandrabhaga Ramachandi Balighai Baidas Nagar Grid Station Bhudan Chaka- Indoor Stadium Chaka-Talabania Bus stand. (Return)- Talabania Bus stand-Central School – Bhudan -Grid Station – Balighai. In case Talabania Parking places filled up the Buses will drop the passengers near Bhudan Chaka and will be parked at Swami Narayan Temple.

Talabania Shuttle Service: Passengers coming to Talabania can avail shuttle service from Helipad Chaka to Ram Mandir Chaka via block office and from Ram Mandir chaka to Helipad chaka via Shreekhestra colony.
Samanga Shuttle Service: Passengers coming to Samanga Parking can avail shuttle service from Samanga to Shree Setu Overbridge (Near Matitota) via Shreesetu Gate. Similarly Passengers can avail Shuttle from Samanga parking place to Sterling chaka via Mangalaghat chaka and Omkareshwar temple.
Return: Shuttle service will also be available from Shree Setu Overbridge (Near Matitota) to Samanga via Mangalaghat Chaka. Similarly Passengers can avail shuttle from Sterling chaka to Samanga via Omkareshwar temple and Mangalaghat chaka.
Sterling Shuttle Service: Passengers parking at Sterling parking place can avail shuttle service from Sterling Chaka to Light House and from Light House Chaka to Sterling chaka.
