JRBT recruitment 2026: The Joint Recruitment Board of Tripura (JRBT) has announced recruitment process and interview related information for 414 posts, The 414 vacancies in three categories of Group-C posts will commence from December 15, 2026.

The notification, dated October 28, 2026, has been issued in compliance with a series of orders passed by the Tripura High Court in connection with recruitment-related cases.

This recruitment includes posts like Lower Division Clerk (LDC), Junior Operator (Pump) and Junior Multi-Tasking Operator (Uncommon).

The present notification does not invite fresh applications. It concerns the continuation of the earlier JRBT Group-C recruitment process, for which the written examination was conducted on August 22, 2021.

Posts with number of vacancies:

  • Lower Division Clerk (LDC): 31
  • Junior Operator (Pump): 185
  • Junior Multi-Tasking Operator (Uncommon): 198

Category wise vacancies:

  • Unreserved (UR): 187
  • Scheduled Caste (SC): 69
  • Scheduled Tribe (ST): 158

The LDC category has 31 vacancies, comprising one SC and 30 ST posts, while there are no unreserved vacancies in this category. Junior Operator (Pump) has 87 UR, 34 SC and 64 ST vacancies. Junior Multi-Tasking Operator has 100 UR, 34 SC and 64 ST vacancies.

Age limit:

  • 18 to 41 years
  • It has age relaxation for SC/ST, Persons with Disabilities and government employees under the relevant rules.

Written examination:

  • Two papers of 170 marks
  • Paper 1: 70 marks
  • Paper 2: 100 marks

The process also involves calling eligible candidates for interviews in the prescribed 1:3 ratio, subject to applicable eligibility and reservation provisions.

The Board has not yet announced the individual interview dates, venue or reporting time for candidates. The detailed programme, provisional call letters/admission certificates and other relevant instructions will be made available in due course.
