Apple reveals iPhone Duo screen repair cost in India

Apple launched the iPhone Duo as its first foldable in September, which turned out to be it’s most expensive iPhone to date. The device costs a hopping Rs 2,99,900, almost Rs 3 lakh in India.

Though, the pre-orders for the iPhone Duo is yet to begin in the country, the tech giant has revealed the repairing cost required for the iPhone Duo. the repair cost of the iPhone Duo has surprised the iPhone lover.

iPhone Duo Repair Cost

The repair cost of the Apple Foldable phone has been listed in the Apple Support website as follows:

iPhone Duo Inner display damage repair charges: Rs 1,49,900.

Cover layer damage:Rs 5,900

Other damage: Rs 2,24,900

Battery Service: Rs 24,900

Rear camera damage: Rs 26,900

Outer display damage: Rs 42,900

Back Glass Damage: Rs 20,900

The cost of repairing a inner display damage is almost half the starting price of the foldable phone and close to the price of an entire iPhone 18 Pro. For context, the iPhone 18 Pro starts at Rs 1,64,900 in India.

Other repairs can also add up quickly, with charges ranging from Rs 5,900 for cover layer damage to Rs 2,24,900 for other damage.

However, these cost are for those who don’t subscribe to AppleCare+ subscription. With AppleCare, the repair costs gets reduced by a lot. Check the list below:

Cover layer damage service fee :Rs 1,900

Back glass damage: Rs 2,500

Outer display damage: Rs 2,500

An inner display repair : Rs 8,900

Other accidental damage : Rs 8,900

Meanwhile the listed theft or loss fee is Rs 15,900.

The maintenance plan for the iPhone Duo is expensive as it costs at Rs 51,900. However, it offers unlimited repairs for eligible accidental damage, including incidents such as drops and spills, along with priority support from Apple experts. However, a service fee applies to each covered incident. Theft and loss are not included in the coverage.

But even with a Rs 50,000 premium for the AppleCare plan, the difference between the repair costs is substantial, especially for the inner screen. Instead of paying nearly Rs 1.5 lakh for a replacement, customers with AppleCare would pay Rs 8,900 for a covered incident.
