Renault Kiger New Variants Launched – Evolution+ Priced From Rs 6.99 L

Renault India has expanded the Kiger lineup with the introduction of four new variants across naturally aspirated and turbo-petrol powertrains. The update aims to make turbocharged performance and premium features more accessible, while also offering buyers a wider choice across the B-SUV range. With the revised lineup, Renault claims the Kiger Turbo is now the most affordable turbocharged SUV in the entry B-SUV segment, with prices starting at Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-sh).

New Evolution+ Variant Introduced

The biggest update is the addition of the new Evolution+ trim, which is now available with multiple powertrain options. Renault has positioned it between the Evolution and Techno variants, bringing several convenience features at a relatively accessible price point.

The new Evolution+ variant is available with the naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with both manual and AMT gearboxes. It is also available with the turbo-petrol engine and manual transmission. Key features added with the Evolution+ variant include Smart Access Card with Push Start/Stop, driver seat height adjustment, wireless smartphone replication, automatic climate control and light embossed fabric upholstery.

Turbo Range Expanded To Five Variants

Renault has also expanded the Kiger’s turbo-petrol lineup from three to five variants. In addition to the new Evolution+ Turbo MT, the company has introduced a Techno Turbo Manual variant, offering buyers a more affordable entry point into the higher-spec Techno trim without opting for the CVT automatic. More Features At Lower Price Points

With the introduction of the Evolution+ variant, Renault has effectively brought several features that were previously reserved for higher trims to more affordable price points. Features such as automatic climate control, push-button start, wireless smartphone connectivity and driver seat height adjustment are now available lower down the range. The addition of a manual gearbox option to the Techno Turbo variant also provides buyers with another combination that balances performance, features and affordability.

No mechanical changes have been made to the Kiger. It continues to be offered with a 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, Easy-R AMT and X-Tronic CVT, depending on the variant.
