Funds To Support Tesseract And Shockwave

Ultraviolette will deploy the fresh capital towards scaling production of the F77 and X-47 electric motorcycles, alongside its upcoming Tesseract scooter and Shockwave enduro motorcycle. The Tesseract is a particularly important addition, taking the company into the scooter segment and giving it access to a wider customer base.

Yali Capital founding managing partner Ganapathy Subramaniam indicated an early-2027 launch for the scooter while discussing the investment. Subramaniam also highlighted Ultraviolette’s in-house engineering and the radar-based safety features introduced on the X-47. These technologies form part of the company’s effort to distinguish its products through performance, connectivity and rider assistance. The investment will additionally fund development of its next generation of global EV platforms.

New Plant To Expand Manufacturing Capacity

The funding follows Ultraviolette’s announcement of a new manufacturing facility intended to scale annual production capacity to as much as 5 lakh units. This represents planned capacity rather than current output. The company is looking to invest Rs 779 crore in the new plant to support higher volumes and its move into the mass-market segment.

With a European presence already established, Ultraviolette is targeting the US as its next major market in 2027. The fresh funding will support that expansion alongside deeper penetration in existing markets.

Founders Narayan Subramaniam and Niraj Rajmohan said the investment would help scale manufacturing, accelerate future platform development and strengthen international operations. For Ultraviolette, the next phase combines a broader product lineup with the production capacity needed to serve both Indian and overseas buyers.
