Scooter Sales Cross 1 Lakh As New Range Gains Traction

Scooters have historically been a weaker part of Hero MotoCorp’s business, but its expanded and refreshed lineup is now showing stronger momentum. Recent VIDA launches, the Xoom (110cc, 125cc, 160cc), and the updated Destini have broadened Hero’s presence across electric, sporty and family scooter segments.

Combined scooter sales reached 1,00,354 units in September, growing 64.51% YoY. Despite accounting for just 13.10% of Hero’s total volumes, scooters contributed almost as many additional units as motorcycles to the company’s annual sales increase.

The improvement also extends beyond September. Scooter sales grew 47.68% during July–September and 69.39% across April–September, highlighting their increasing contribution to Hero’s business. Motorcycles remained the company’s mainstay, with September sales of 6,65,994 units and 6.35% YoY growth. However, the faster-growing scooter portfolio is becoming a more meaningful contributor to overall growth.
