New Maruti Baleno Variant Wise Features, Prices – CNG From 7.92 L, ADAS From 9.49 L

Maruti recently launched the new Baleno facelift with multiple updates including refreshed exterior and interior, new colours, a more fuel-efficient engine and enhanced safety with Level 2 ADAS. Baleno is the bestselling premium hatch in the country, going up against rivals like Tata Altroz and Hyundai i20. Maruti has now announced the full price list for new Baleno and also revealed the variant-wise features.
New 2026 Baleno facelift – Prices revealed
At the time of Baleno facelift’s launch, Maruti had revealed the price of only the base variant (Sigma) at Rs 6.10 lakh. However, with the full price list for all variants now released, the price of the base variant has been adjusted to Rs 5.99 lakh. Baleno base variant Sigma is offered with only a 5-speed manual transmission.
New Baleno has transitioned to the Z12E 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol, which is already in use with Maruti Swift and Dzire. New Baleno Delta trim is available at a starting price of Rs 7 lakh (5MT). The Delta AMT variant is available at Rs 7.50 lakh. A CNG option is also available with Baleno Delta trim, priced at Rs 7.92 lakh. CNG variants of Baleno are offered with only a 5MT transmission.
Next is Zeta, which also has all three powertrain options. Prices are Rs 8 lakh for the 5MT, Rs 8.50 lakh for the 5AMT and Rs 8.92 lakh for the CNG variant. Alpha and Alpha (O) get both manual and AMT options, but aren’t available with a CNG powertrain. Baleno Alpha manual and AMT are priced at Rs 9.10 lakh and Rs 9.60 lakh, respectively. Alpha (O) MT and AMT prices are Rs 9.50 lakh and Rs 9.99 lakh, respectively.
New 2026 Baleno facelift – Variant-wise features revealed
Most of the exterior updates introduced with the facelift are available with the base Sigma variant. Key highlights include NEXWave grille, body coloured bumpers, fender chrome garnish, NEXA signature LED tail lamps and back door spoiler.
New Baleno base variant uses halogen headlamps and steel wheels with full wheel covers. Inside, the base variant has manual AC, all power windows, central locking, keyless entry, rear defogger and gear shift indicator. Other highlights include speedometer with tachometer, fabric upholstery and 60:40 split rear seat. All variants of Baleno facelift get a range of safety features as standard.
These include 6 airbags, ESP with hill hold, reverse parking sensors and brake assist. LED projector headlamps and alloy wheels are available from Zeta variant onwards. This mid variant also gets chrome plated door handles, body coloured ORVMs with turn indicators and back door chrome garnish. Inside, the Zeta variant gains Suzuki Connect suite, automatic AC, rear AC vents and electrically foldable and adjustable ORVMs.
Other highlights include rear wiper and washer, tilt and telescopic steering and wireless charging dock with active cooling. Baleno Zeta variant has a 9-inch SmartPlay Pro+ touchscreen, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, TFT MID and voice assistant. Safety gets enhanced with features like rear view camera and tyre pressure monitoring system.
New Baleno top variant Alpha (O) – All features
This variant had additional features like painted precision cut alloy wheels, head up display, cruise control, auto dimming IRVM, auto folding ORVMs and premium sound system by Clarion. Other highlights include leather wrapped steering wheel, leatherette seat upholstery and front ventilated seats. Baleno top variant gets exclusive access to Level 2 ADAS. This includes features like adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist, lane departure warning, vehicle sway warning, advanced emergency braking and forward collision warning.
Baleno was earlier equipped with the K12N 1.2-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, which has been replaced with the Z12E 1.2-litre three-cylinder petrol engine. It generates 83 hp and 112 Nm, which is a drop of 7 hp and 1 Nm. However, fuel efficiency has improved, with 23.80 km/l achievable with the manual variants. The AMT variant has claimed fuel efficiency of 24.77 km/l.
New Baleno CNG variant generates 70 hp and 102 Nm. It has claimed fuel efficiency of 33.61 km per kg, an improvement of 3 km per kg. This is best in segment and even better than the 32.85 km per kg available with Maruti Swift CNG.
