Oben Tops Electric Motorcycle Sales In Sep 2026
by Pearl Daniels · RushLaneOben Electric recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in September, with the company attributing the performance to demand for the Rorr Evo
Oben Electric has reported 1,417 electric motorcycle registrations in September 2026, marking its highest-ever monthly sales. Citing VAHAN registration data, the Bengaluru-based manufacturer said the result made it India’s highest-selling electric motorcycle brand for the month.
Rorr Evo Drives September Performance
According to Oben, the response to the Rorr Evo helped it achieve the September registration milestone. The company has positioned the motorcycle around everyday usability, performance, design and range, targeting both buyers considering an electric vehicle and those comparing it with conventional motorcycles.
Madhumita Agrawal, Founder and CEO of Oben Electric, described the result as an important milestone for the company and a reflection of customer confidence in the brand and Rorr Evo. She said motorcycles would need to play a central role in India’s transition to electric mobility, given their importance to everyday transport.
According to Agrawal, the response to Rorr Evo indicates that riders are willing to consider electric options when the product meets their expectations of a motorcycle. That positioning places the focus on the overall ownership proposition, including riding experience and practicality, alongside the electric powertrain.
Production Crosses 10,000 Motorcycles
Oben recently rolled out its 10,000th electric motorcycle from its Bengaluru manufacturing facility. The cumulative production milestone comes as the company expands the availability of Rorr Evo and its presence across markets. The manufacturer operates a 3.5-acre facility with a stated annual production capacity of one lakh motorcycles.
Oben develops and manufactures key technologies in-house, including LFP batteries, motors, vehicle control units, chargers and proprietary software. The company describes this integrated approach as a way to manage engineering, manufacturing and quality across its products.
Network Expands Across 90-Plus Cities
Alongside manufacturing, Oben has been expanding its sales and service presence. Its network now comprises more than 150 showrooms and dedicated Oben Care service centres across over 90 cities in 18 states, according to the company.
The network supports test rides, sales, deliveries and after-sales service. As the customer base grows, service availability will be an important part of supporting the motorcycles already on the road.
