Tata Sierra Dark Launch Price Rs 13.99 Lakh – Full Lineup Now Has 65 Variants

Sierra Dark introduces a Friesian Black exterior, Violet Eclipse cabin theme and purple chrome detailing across 23 trim and powertrain combinations

Tata has launched the Sierra Dark edition at an introductory starting price of Rs 13.99 lakh, ex-showroom. The latest addition brings a black exterior treatment, a revised cabin theme and distinctive purple chrome accents to the SUV. Prices extend up to Rs 21.59 lakh for the top-spec Accomplished+ diesel automatic.

The launch follows the recent introduction of the Sierra Legend Series. With both additions included, the Sierra lineup now spans 65 trim, engine and gearbox combinations across 18 distinct trim and edition names. The complete range starts at Rs 11.49 lakh and tops out at Rs 21.59 lakh, ex-showroom.

Sierra Dark – Black Exterior

The Sierra Dark features a Friesian Black exterior, retaining the SUV’s familiar silhouette while giving it a darker appearance. Inside, Tata has introduced a Violet Eclipse theme with black leatherette upholstery and purple chrome detailing. The changes focus on the cabin’s colours and finishes, with equipment following the corresponding variant. Tata has not announced any mechanical changes specific to the Dark edition.

The treatment is available on six trims—Pure L, Pure L (O), Pure+ L, Adventure+ L, Accomplished and Accomplished+. Depending on the trim, buyers can choose from naturally aspirated petrol, turbo-petrol and diesel powertrains, with manual and automatic transmissions.

Sierra Dark Prices And Variant Choices

The naturally aspirated 1.5-litre Revotron petrol manual starts at Rs 13.99 lakh for Pure L Dark and extends to Rs 18.29 lakh for Accomplished Dark. Petrol DCA versions begin at Rs 15.29 lakh for Pure L Dark, with Adventure+ L Dark topping this combination at Rs 18.59 lakh.

The 1.5-litre Hyperion turbo-petrol automatic is available on three Dark trims. Adventure+ L costs Rs 19.29 lakh, Accomplished is priced at Rs 20.29 lakh and Accomplished+ costs Rs 21.29 lakh.

Diesel buyers have the widest selection within the Dark range. The 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel manual is offered across all six trims, priced between Rs 15.44 lakh and Rs 20.59 lakh. Diesel automatic options start with Pure L (O) Dark at Rs 17.34 lakh and extend to Accomplished+ Dark at Rs 21.59 lakh. All Dark edition prices are introductory and ex-showroom.

Across the comparable versions in the updated price list, the Dark treatment commands a premium of Rs 20,000 to Rs 35,000. Most combinations carry a Rs 30,000 premium, while Pure L manual versions cost Rs 20,000 more. The Pure L (O) diesel automatic carries a Rs 35,000 premium.

Full Sierra Range Now Offers 65 Variants

Including the standard, Legend Series and Dark versions, the naturally aspirated petrol range now offers 27 combinations—16 with a six-speed manual and 11 with a seven-speed DCA. The turbo-petrol range adds seven variants, all paired with a six-speed automatic. Before last week, without the Legend Series and Dark Edition, Tata Motors had 26 variants of Sierra on offer. In a matter of days, variant count has now been increased by 39, to a total offerings of 65.

This has been done keeping in mind the approaching festive season. With Sierra monthly sales hovering in the 5-6k range, launch of these new variants will likely give a sales boost in coming weeks. Diesel accounts for the largest selection, with 31 combinations comprising 18 manuals and 13 automatics. Overall, buyers have 34 manual and 31 automatic choices across the Sierra lineup.

The Dark edition contributes 23 of these 65 combinations: nine naturally aspirated petrol, three turbo-petrol and 11 diesel versions. Its availability from Pure L upwards means buyers do not have to choose a top-spec trim to access the new styling package.
