New Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Pickup Launch Price Rs 19.79 Lakh

In 2026, Mahindra Auto is doing what they do best. Reviving dead segments which no other brands seem to be tackling at a mass scale. Six years ago, we saw Mahindra reviving the lifestyle SUV segment with the new Thar and now, we can see Mahindra at it again, reviving the lifestyle pickup truck segment.

The company just unveiled a production spec version of Global Pik Up, which was first showcased all the way back in 2023, and it will be called Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler. This is the global debut of this pickup truck and it will be manufactured at Mahindra’s facilities in India, expected to be sold in select global markets too. Launch timeline for India is April 2027 and the starting price is Rs 19.79 lakh (Ex-sh). 

Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler Pickup Debuts

When launched, this new pickup truck will be a direct successor of Mahindra Scorpio Getaway. There are three versions in which Mahindra has showcased Scorpio Lifestyler pickup truck – Reef, Trail and Valley. All three versions get their own colourway and accessories, showcasing different target audience looking for Lifestyle, Adventure Off-Road and Practical workhorse. 

Where design is concerned, Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler looks close to the concept, than Scorpio N SUV. There is a dominating front fascia with a large grille up front, adorned by a large Mahindra Twin Peaks logo. Headlight positioning is conventional and LED DRLs are present in the headlights above.

We can see vertically arranged fog lights in the bumper along with chunky skid plate at the front. From the sides, we can see muscular wheel arch claddings, large alloy wheels with on/off road tyres and a similar silhouette as Scorpio N SUV. One can distinguish where Scorpio N ends and where the Pik Up begins. We can see large alloy wheels, sturdy side steps and all-four disc brakes as well, leaving no stones unturned. 

At the rear, Scorpio Lifestyler gets a large MAHINDRA lettering embossed into the tailgate, which could be assisted for added convenience. Mahindra could also offer some practical corner steps to make it easier to get into the load bed. This load bed will have wheel well intrusions and is in line with other mid-size pickup trucks.

Premium Interiors

On the inside, Mahindra could offer Scorpio Lifestyler in either a single-cab or dual-cab layout. The former might be for budget-conscious buyers with cost effective equipment list, while the dual cab version might offer all the bells and whistles. The most notable among them are –

Powertrain Options

Powering the new Mahindra Scorpio Lifestyler will be the familiar engine options, but the options could differ dependig on the market. Usual suspects are the 2.0L Turbo Petrol engine with up to 200 bhp and a 2.2L Turbo Diesel engine with up to 450 Nm. Both Manual and Automatic gearbox options along with Mahindra’s sophisticated 4XPLOR 4WD system may be a part of the package.
