Comedy star Miranda Hart has revealed that she secretly got married in the past 10 months. The 51 year old actress, known for her self-titled BBC show 'Miranda', surprised fans with the news of her marriage to a man she affectionately refers to as 'The Boy from Bristol' or 'The Mould Man'.

Despite making a career out of humourously exploring her love life on her hit show, Miranda has found love and a husband away from the public eye. Fans eager to learn more about her mystery husband can find hints in her new memoir, 'I Haven't Been Entirely Honest With You'.

While she hasn't shared much about her husband, she did mention his "fine features" and "salt and pepper grey hair". She also explained how they met - he was the building surveyor on a house remediation project after she lost her home due to mould illness.

Miranda Hart has made a surprising revelation about her personal life, announcing on BBC's The One Show that she is now married. "Yes my love was Mr Mould Man/ My Mr Mould Man/ The Boy/ The Boy from Bristol/ The Boyfriend. I haven't been entirely honest with you, he's not my boyfriend, he's my husband. We got married when I was 51," she disclosed.

She also shared how her friends reacted with disbelief to her unexpected romance: "Whenever I told any of my friends I had met someone, they all simply paused, confused and said how it's not a high probability with housebound illness and a global pandemic for a knight in shining armour to appear on the doorstep but he did. To de-mould me.", reports the Mirror.

The comedian was on the show Tuesday evening to talk about her new book when she dropped the news to hosts Alex Jones and Alex Scott: "Someone's put a ring on it... I'm married, I got married at 51 and it's just so lovely! I'd written Gary for onscreen Miranda and it wasn't until I was 49 that I met my person.'" She added, "It's a little undercurrent in the book, I'm not going to reveal how we met because that's a little bit of a twist. He's my best friend, we had the best fun and I'm just thrilled to be a young bride at 51."

While Miranda's character in her eponymous sitcom experienced a tumultuous quest for love, with Tom Ellis playing her love interest Gary Preston, Hart has kept her own romantic life out of the spotlight. Now, fans are eager to learn more about the man she refers to as her 'Bristol Boy' husband.
