Quality Street, Roses and Celebrations fans urged to ditch Tesco and Aldi for alternative

by · NottinghamshireLive

The Christmas chocolate price wars have officially begun. Following Aldi's recent reduction in the price of Quality Street, Asda has now responded with a competitive offer on not only Quality Street but also Roses, Celebrations, Heroes and Swizzels.

For a limited three-day period, Asda has reduced the price of these popular chocolates to just £2.50 per tub. However, there is a catch - you must be a member of Asda Rewards, the supermarket's loyalty app scheme, and you need to purchase two tubs for £5.

Whether you're stocking up for Christmas or Halloween, this is an excellent deal as typically, these tubs are priced at two for £9. The offer starts today and ends on October 27, giving customers just three days to take advantage.

Morrisons has also joined the price war, offering two tubs for £6, while Aldi is selling Quality Street for £3.89 per tub. However, Asda's offer is currently the best deal available.

The Asda Rewards app also provides cashback on certain 'star products' and purchases made in specific sections, such as baby food or fresh fruit. This year, Quality Street buyers may notice a change - in addition to paper wrappers, Tesco will also be using paper tubs in a bid to be more sustainable, reports the Express.
