Amid this, some superstars took their game to the next level, and Allu Arjun, Prabhas, and Jr NTR are among those. Not just the traditional Telugu market, but these stars have also increased their reach in the Hindi market. Now, let’s compare who out of these stars fared better at the Indian box office with their last three theatrical releases!
Allu Arjun is on a roll!
Starting with Allu, his third-to-last release was Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo (2020), which was released before the COVID-19 pandemic. Budgeted at 120 crore, it scored around 201 crore net at the Indian box office, making it a plus affair. It was followed by Pushpa: The Rise (2021), which did a business of 267.55 crore net against a budget of 150 crore. It secured a plus verdict.
After Pushpa: The Rise, Allu Arjun was seen in Pushpa 2: The Rule (2024). Mounted on a massive budget of 400 crore, it amassed a whopping 1234.1 crore net and secured a super duper hit verdict at the Indian box office, as per Koimoi’s parameters.
Impressive run of Prabhas
Coming to Prabhas, his third-to-last release was Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire (2023). Mounted on a budget of 250-300 crore, it scored 406.45 crore net, thus securing a plus verdict. It was followed by Kalki 2898 AD (2024), which earned a solid 646.31 crore net against a cost of 600 crore. It was a plus affair. His last release, The RajaSaab (2026), turned out to be a flop. Made on a budget of 400 crore, it earned only 146.04 crore net.
Only one success out of the last three films for Jr NTR
Talking about Jr NTR, his third-to-last theatrical release was RRR (2022). Made on a massive budget of 550 crore, it scored 782.2 crore net at the Indian box office and secured a plus verdict. It was followed by Devara: Part 1 (2024), which was mounted on a budget of 300 crore and scored 292.47 crore net. It secured a losing verdict. His last release, War 2, also tanked at the Indian box office. Made on a reported budget of 325 crore, it earned 244.29 crore net and secured a losing verdict.
Allu Arjun wins against Prabhas and Jr NTR
As we can see, only Allu Arjun hasn’t delivered a single failure in his last three films, thus enjoying a superb 100% success rate. Prabhas is next to him, with a success rate of 66.66%, as he delivered one failure. Jr NTR is in the last position, with a 33.33% success rate, delivering two failures at the Indian box office in his last three releases.
