Balmain, Brave Kid Ink Childrenswear License

BALMAIN KIDS: Renzo Rosso’s OTB-owned company Brave Kid is expanding its portfolio with the addition of the Balmain childrenswear line. 

The French brand has signed a five-year licensing agreement with Brave Kid for the development, production and exclusive worldwide distribution of childrenswear collections.

“This agreement marks an important step in Balmain’s broader vision to extend its universe through carefully selected partnerships,” said Matteo Sgarbossa, chief executive officer of Balmain. “We are particularly pleased to be working with Brave Kid, whose expertise and deep understanding of younger audiences make them an ideal partner.”

The first collection will bow for spring 2027 and is aimed at girls, boys and newborns aged infant to 16, featuring prints sourced directly from the Balmain archive. It has a focus on ceremonial wear and is completed by a dedicated beachwear selection.

Brave Kid will oversee worldwide multichannel distribution and, starting next June, the collection will be available in the showrooms in Milan, Paris and New York. From November, the collections will be distributed and available in Balmain flagships and website, on Brave Kid’s website and in selected retailers worldwide.

The Brave Kid portfolio comprises other OTB brands such as Diesel, MM6 Maison Margiela and Marni, as well as licensed brands including Dsquared2, No.21, Max & Co. and Myar.
