Easy Spirit Launches Annual ‘Move For Pink’ Campaign for Breast Cancer Research

Easy Spirit continues its partnership of seven-plus years with Shoes for a Cure to support breast cancer research through a minimum $25,000 donation.

The comfort footwear brand’s annual Move For Pink campaign returns with a limited-edition Ace sneaker in pink.

Proceeds from the sale of the sneaker are pledged to Shoes for a Cure, the signature charitable initiative of the Fashion Footwear Charitable Foundation that has raised over $65 million for breast cancer research to date. The limited-edition sneaker became available on Thursday at EasySpirit.com and at select retailers online, including Macy’s, Nordstrom, Amazon, Belk, DSW, and Mason.

Dr. Lisa Newman is a global leader in cancer disparities research and chief of the section of breast surgery at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center. “Research that identifies new treatment opportunities for diverse patient populations is essential to closing breast cancer disparities,” Dr. Newman said. “The support from Easy Spirit and Shoes for a Cure has helped advance this important research.”

Dr. Newman said, “We are grateful for this continued partnership and its meaningful impact,” noting that it also allows her team to build on research findings and “provide life-saving surgical care to breast cancer patients in countries like Ghana.”

Shoes for a Cure has two upcoming events, Shoes for a Cure Miami from Oct. 15 to 18 at the Miami Design District and Shoes for a Cure New York from Oct. 21 to 25 at the Chelsea Market.
