Evereve, the women’s fashion retailer based in Endina, Minn., has named style and creative director Sarah Clary as advisory chief creative officer.

In her advisory role, she will help shape Evereve’s creative direction and brand storytelling, beginning with the company’s fall campaign, “Jeans That Make Me Feel ____.”

The previous chief creative officer was Heidi Watson.

Clary is a creative director, fashion director and brand strategist with more than two decades of experience across fashion, retail and lifestyle. She began her career at J.Crew, working alongside Mickey Drexler and Jenna Lyons to help launch and shape the creative identity of Crewcuts. Since then she has led creative direction campaigns and brand strategy for such companies as Hill House Home, Veronica Beard, Kule, Gap, Old Navy, Birdies, Soma, White House Black Market and Target.

“Sarah has an incredible instinct for creating imagery and storytelling that feels both aspirational and relatable, which is exactly how we want women to experience our brand,” said Megan Tamte, cofounder, co-chief executive officer and chief brand officer of Evereve. “She understands how fashion fits into women’s real lives, and we’re excited to bring her perspective to Evereve as we continue to evolve how we show up and connect with our customer.”

Clary joins Evereve at a moment of growth and evolution for the retailer as it continues to expand its national presence, strengthen its product offering and invest in building greater awareness and connection with women across the U.S. The company has 113 stores nationwide.

“Evereve has built something special by understanding women and what they actually want from their wardrobes,” Clary said. “There’s an opportunity to bring that understanding to life in a fresh, unexpected way creatively, while still making fashion feel approachable and personal. I’m excited to work with the team and help shape what this next chapter of the brand looks and feels like.”

Clary will work alongside the company’s brand, marketing and creative teams to develop cohesive visual and creative direction across key brand moments.

She reports to Tammy Redpath, chief marketing officer, and works closely with Tamte on brand work. Clary is based in New York, but will frequently work out of Evereve’s headquarters in Minnesota.
