Happy Returns said Tuesday that it is now integrated into TikTok Shop. The reverse logistics and software company owned by UPS said in a statement that the “next generation of commerce deserves a returns experience built for it.”
The integration gives consumers the platform’s sole, box-free, label-free return option. “For TikTok Shop sellers, that means less return fraud, faster inventory turnaround, and a returns experience that builds loyalty,” the company said, adding that the option is available for participating retailers across TikTok, whether the merchant handles its own fulfillment or has orders fulfilled by the social media platform.

Locus Solution Improves Fulfillment Accuracy
The integration is an important move for the company. David Sobie, co-founder and CEO of Happy Returns, said commerce today spans “social platforms, marketplaces and owned e-commerce channels—retailers need logistics solutions that can connect all of it.”
“Our TikTok Shop partnership brings Happy Returns into one of the fastest-growing commerce ecosystems, giving greater confidence at purchase while supporting the fraud-resistant, scalable returns infrastructure merchants need to grow,” the CEO said.
Regarding returns fraud, a recent research report from Happy Returns revealed that mail-in returns see a six-times higher fraud rate as compared to returns that are dropped off in person without a box or a label. Item verification at drop-off cuts fraud by at least 85 percent. The report’s authors said a large portion of fraudulent returns comes from organized networks. “On orders over $500, 1 in 64 orders involves return fraud, and the rate is even higher for abuse like wardrobing: for orders exceeding $500, 1 in 27 orders are marked by return policy abuse,” the report noted.
Happy Returns counts among its clients Everlane, Allbirds, Shein, Fabletics, Revolve and Under Armour, among others.
The company said in the U.S. TikTok Shop had more than 103 billion searches in 2025. As a result, Happy Returns said the opportunity is too big to ignore. Brands need to meet consumers where they’re spending most of their time.
“TikTok Shop is where people discover products and brands, and the shopping experience extends well beyond checkout,” said Patrick Nommensen, TikTok Shop’s president of strategic initiatives. “Our collaboration with Happy Returns builds on our commitment to making the returns experience faster, hassle-free, and more trustworthy for our shoppers, with box-free, label-free returns and instant refunds at approximately 10,000 Return Bar locations nationwide.”
Shirley Gao, chief digital and information officer at Pacsun, praised the announcement, noting it improves the overall shopping experience. “TikTok Shop is where our community shops, scrolls and shares in real time and we want their returns experience to feel just as effortless,” Gao said, adding that the integration allows their customers to “get the same consistent, trusted experience they already count on from Pacsun—no matter where they shop with us.”
