Nordstrom is opening two Nordstrom Local service hubs in San Diego and Danville, bringing the total number of units in the format to nine and expanding the retailer’s presence in California.

The 1,190-square-foot Nordstrom Local in San Diego opens at 3725 Paseo Place, 1040, on June 4 and the 1,214-square-foot Nordstrom Local in Danville opens at 600 Sycamore Valley Road on June 18.

“Northern and Southern California represent two of our most significant markets, and these new locations reflect our continued focus on evolving alongside our customers,” said Fanya Chandler, president of Nordstrom stores. “By extending our presence closer to where our customers live and work, we believe Nordstrom Locals will offer greater convenience, broader access to what they need, and a more personalized experience.”

Nordstrom Is Leaning Into What's Working

Nordstrom Locals are situated to provide shoppers with convenient locations that are typically closer to where they live than the Nordstrom department stores or Nordstrom Rack off-price stores. They enable shoppers to pick up their orders from Nordstrom.com and NordstromRack.com; make returns; get alterations on items purchased at Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack and other retailers, and receive gift boxes. The sites are also drop-off points for donating gently used clothing and shoes, which get directed to nonprofit partners that support local programs helping the community.
