LONDON — Pharmacist and wellness entrepreneur Margo Marrone has reacquired The Organic Pharmacy, returning as founder and owner of the British health and beauty brand she established in 2002. She resumed the role on Oct. 16.

Her return follows a decade under the stewardship of the Ganassini family, whom Marrone thanked for caring for the brand. The family will remain a partner through its distribution of The Organic Pharmacy in Italy, while focusing its wider business on other pharmaceutical brands.

Marrone founded The Organic Pharmacy to bring pharmaceutical expertise and natural medicine together with skin care and wellness. Its approach combined expertly formulated skin care, herbal medicine, homeopathy, nutritional supplements and personalized advice.

“It was incredibly emotional to return to The Organic Pharmacy, and I feel so grateful to be back. I’m really looking forward to getting creative again and exploring what comes next for the brand,” Marrone said.

Her interest in pharmacy began more than 27 years ago, when she worked as a Saturday girl in a local pharmacy. Watching the pharmacist prepare remedies and advise customers inspired her to pursue the profession. She later specialized in herbal medicine, nutrition and well-being. Discovering homeopathy helped shape her vision for a new kind of health and beauty destination.

“The Organic Pharmacy was the realisation of my dream: to bring under one roof professional client advice, an exceptional, personal service that enables me to form a bond with my clients, and the best products in the world that are free from toxins,” she said.

Now, Marrone sees an opportunity to bring the brand’s founding principles back into focus as interest in preventative wellness and longevity grows.

Her priorities include health, detoxification and lifestyle, as well as the connection between skin health, internal well-being and healthy ageing. She also plans to explore opportunities in professional wellness, including spas and clinics — an area she has long seen as important to the brand’s future.
