MILAN — Mixed macro conditions and shipping setbacks have yet to impede Italy‘s Febal Casa, which is rapidly increasing its retail network.

On Monday, the San Marino, Italy-based company said it recently opened 23 new mono brand stores, of which 10 in Italy and 13 abroad, with new locations in the U.S., Nigeria, Spain, France, Greece, Switzerland and Gibraltar. The firm first entered the Nigerian market in 2024 with a store in Lagos.

With these openings, Febal Casa now counts 283 monobrand stores, including 200 in Italy and 83 abroad, a sharp increase from November 2024, when the firm counted 217 monobrand stores, of which 36 were abroad.

Febal Casa was founded in 1959 and was acquired in 2009 by Colombini Group, one of Italy’s largest furniture and interiors group by sales, booking 290 million euros in revenue in 2025.

Febal Casa counts Matteo Thun, Daniel Libeskind, Zaha Hadid Architects and, most recently, Massimo Iosa Ghini among its key design collaborators. Its international expansion has been helped by partnerships with local operators, it said.

“Every new opening, both in Italy and abroad, confirms the strength of our retail development model,” said Colombini Group chief executive officer Giovanni Battista Vacchi in a statement. “We continue to invest in an increasingly broad, recognizable and qualified network, carefully selecting the markets in which to grow and the partners with whom to do so. Our goal is to bring Febal Casa’s identity and design quality to different markets while maintaining consistency, reliability and closeness to the customer.”

Internationally, it said its opening in Las Vegas, situated in the burgeoning residential district of Summerlin, is key to its expansion plans in the U.S.

Febal Casa has also entered the Taiwanese market with a showroom in Taichung, developed through a partnership with a leading local operator. In Asia, the development plan also includes a new showroom in Shanghai, inside the Cimen International Building Materials Brand Center, a prestigious exhibition center for key design brands.

Febal Casa’s new stores are centered around a total living concept and positioned to cater to the completion of the home and include kitchens, living spaces and bedrooms. The new stores offer specialized consultancy through the process — from material selection to designs of tailor-made furnishings.

In addition to Febal Casa, Colombini Group owns Bontempi, Snaidero, a kitchens firm; Colombini Casa, Colombini Office and Colombini Group Contract, a division specializing in the design and execution of turnkey residential, hospitality and commercial projects.
