‘Money Heist’s Jaime Lorente Enters ‘The House of Monsters’ in Spanish Horror Film
by Alex DiVincenzo · Bloody DisgustingEnter The House of Monsters with the first look at Jaime Lorente (“Money Heist”), Antonio Resines (Cell 211), and Eva Isanta in the Spanish horror film.
Written and directed by David Hebrero (Everyone Will Burn), The House of Monsters follows Goio (Lorente), who returns to the family home to take care of his ailing father (Resines) for one night.
What begins as a simple reunion soon turns into a nightmare: family secrets, old resentments and buried traumas come back, and the presence of his brother, who never managed to leave, turns every room into a maze of terror and secrets.
The House of Monsters is the inaugural production from Noir Hollow, a new Spanish horror production label established by Fede Pajaro and Carlota Amor of Garajonay Productions, who serve as co-CEOs and creative directors.
“Set in a closed and unsettling environment, The House of Monsters blends intrigue with elements of explicit horror,” the company tells Variety.
Noir Hollow will screen the film for buyers at next week’s Cannes film market as part of the Fantastic Pavilion genre hub.
