Honda to report full-year operating loss of around $2.5 billion, Nikkei says

TOKYO, May 8 : Honda Motor is set to post an operating loss of around 400 billion yen ($2.55 billion) for the financial year just ended, hit by losses related to its electric vehicle business, the Nikkei business daily reported on Friday.

Japan's second-biggest automaker is due to report full-year earnings on May 14. The company said that the Nikkei report was not based on an official announcement but reaffirmed that its annual operating loss would be within the previously disclosed range of 270-570 billion yen.
