Japan's TEPCO posts 454.3 billion yen loss in year ended March

TOKYO, April 30 : Tokyo Electric Power Co on Thursday posted a net loss of 454.3 billion yen ($2.85 billion) for the fiscal year ended in March, compared with a 161.3-billion-yen profit a year earlier.

TEPCO, which restarted a nuclear power reactor earlier this year for the first time since the Fukushima Daiichi accident of 2011, said Japan Investment Corp CEO Keisuke Yokoo is set to become its new chairman, pending shareholders approval.
