IHG Hotels & Resorts will introduce its Noted Collection brand in Japan with two hotels in Tokyo, including a conversion in Shinjuku and a new-build property in Ginza.

The 207-room Shinjuku hotel, signed with SC Capital Partners, will be the first Noted Collection conversion signed in Japan. Located in Kabukicho near Golden Gai, the property will undergo renovation and rebranding before opening in 2027 under its own identity.

Facilities will include a lobby connected to a restaurant and café area.

In Ginza, IHG has signed an 81-room new-build hotel with An Consulting, scheduled to open in 2029. Located in Ginza 8-chome within walking distance of Shimbashi and Ginza stations, the property will mark IHG’s first hotel in Ginza.

The hotel will offer family suites, a restaurant and bar, and a fitness centre.

Noted Collection was established earlier in 2026 as IHG’s 21st brand, targeting independent properties that retain their individual identities while using IHG’s commercial platforms and IHG One Rewards loyalty programme.

The two Tokyo properties join the brand’s pipeline alongside Theobalds Estate, Noted Collection by IHG in the UK and Cantonal Hotel Riyadh Noted Collection by IHG in Saudi Arabia.
